Common Questions

Who are your tutors?

Our tutors are experienced, dedicated professionals focused on academic strength and exam success. Our tutors come from teaching, law and other academic backgrounds. Academically rigorous but with a gentle approach, your children will have fun and engaging lessons, building on success, driving confidence and helping each child recognise what they can achieve.

How do lessons work?

Lessons are tailored to each child’s needs, online and in some face-to-face courses.

They can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes long and take place over Teams or Zoom.

When should I start tutoring?

It’s best to start as early as possible to build confidence and cover all material thoroughly. We advocate beginning your child's tutoring journey at least 12-18 months before key exams such as the 11+. This gives our tutors plenty of time to understand your child, work out where there may be any lacunas in learning and fill these before the exams.

Are sessions flexible?

Yes, we arrange times that suit your family’s busy schedule. We can offer evening and weekend lessons, as well as holiday lessons and some short courses.

Some periods are naturally busier than others, but we will always strive to accommodate your child.

What ages do you tutor?

We work with children of all ages, but primarily with children from Age 9 onwards, with emphasis on preparing them for independent school entrance exams as well as GCSE's.
